Santa's Lap: Punk Rock Baby

Welcome to December! Every day this month the Londonist team will be pointing you in the direction of a Christmas present that (with a bit of luck) you won't already have on your list. Climb up onto our collective lap and we'll see what we can move from our sack to your stockings...

First a warning:

Oh God NO. If you even see this in a store let the police know so that they can safely evacuate the place and send in a robot in to destroy it. Remember when Billy Idol was cool?

Which got us thinking about how to put a little punk rock into your consumerism this year. If your friends are anything like ours and got really randy back in March they'll be pushing out kids left, right and (mostly) centre. So buy them a copy of Punk Rock Baby. Lullaby versions of punk rock classics such as Sheena is a Punk Rocker and Teenage Kicks.

Trust us. This is the only way to stop the parents pushing their own truly horrible musical tastes onto the kids.

And it wouldn't be a Londonist recommendation without London Calling and Down in the Tube Station at Midnight.

Another pressie tip tomorrow.
