Something we covered a while back has finally been resolved with a win for the faithful:
A Gay Police Association (GPA) advert which linked a rise in homophobic attacks to religious belief breached advertising rules. The advert showing a Bible and a pool of blood led to 553 complaints to the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA). The watchdog said there was an implication, without evidence, that Christians were the main cause of homophobic incidents.
So a slap on the wrist there for the GPA. They could have learned a thing or two from the CPA (Christian Police Association)'s failure back in January to get a pro JC comic off the ground because it failed to embrace all faiths.
What the GPA should have said is that all religion is fucked up. That way none of the pretend people will feel anymore upset than Zeus, Odin or The Great Pumpkin.
