Police are searching a house in south London after receiving information that human remains were on the site. Officers began searching the house in Walton Green, New Addington, Croydon, on Monday. It followed an anonymous allegation made in a letter sent to detectives claiming that human remains dating from more than 30 years ago were there. A Metropolitan Police spokesman said that no arrests had been made and inquiries were continuing.
