We're getting there.

The latest stretch of the Superloop — London's Brobdingnagian orbital bus link — starts running between Bromley and Thamesmead on Saturday 24 February 2024.

The express service calls at Bickley, Queen Mary's Hospital, Sidcup, Bexleyheath, Abbey Wood and Thamesmead (the latter of which is infamous for its poor transport links).

As Diamond Geezer has previously pointed out, the route is not unlike the current 269 bus service, although that has many more stops, and only runs as far north as Bexleyheath.

The SL3's opening follows that of the SL5 route earlier this month, and now means all that's left to open on the Superloop is the SL2 from Walthamstow Central to North Woolwich (touted for March 2024), and the SL4 from Grove Park to Westferry Circus (Canary Wharf), which can't start until the completion of the Silvertown Tunnel, expected in March 2025.
