Something's not sitting standing quite right with this escalator we spotted in Kentish Town recently:
The four-word motto stamped into every Londoner's conscience at birth has been brazenly edited. We're pretty sure they meant to say this:
But what's behind the bizarre message? A disgruntled TfL employee with access to a stencil kit? A wannabe Banksy with a keen dislike for gullible tourists?
A TfL spokesperson explained to us: "This appears to be a case of very unfortunate reassembly. It should be fixed very soon."
