These Oyster Card Fake Nails Are Totally Real... See Them For Yourself In The Design Museum
WANT

When artist Lucie Davis attempted to come up with a chic new way of tapping in, she totally nailed it.

Transport geeks everywhere went crazy when the then-design student revealed her RFID chip-embedded acrylic nails, back in 2016.

Nailed it

Now, you can now check them out for yourself — they've just gone on permanent display at the Design Museum in Kensington. You'll find them in the Designer Maker User section on the museum's top floor. This section's free to visit, too. Win.

The bad news: the ingenious design still hasn't gone to mass market — and if you want a set of these digit-enhancing beauts, you're going to have to do what Davis did, and make them yourself.

Maybe it's for the best anyway — can you imagine having to sift through boxes and boxes of these things in lost property?
