CARIBBEAN'S GREAT WAR: Thousands of young men from the Caribbean volunteered to fight in the first world war. See photos of the soldiers and read names of the fallen at the Museum of London Docklands. Free, just turn up, until 13 November

LIGHT-ART MIRRORS: Ever seen yourself in a 1930s funfair mirror? What about in an army tank's mirror? Graeme Messer's hall of mirrors at Lights of Soho explores the difference between our real and idealised selves through humour, light and a lot of mirrors. Free, just turn up, until 26 November

SHOPLIFTING EXHIBITION: Felt artist Lucy Sparrow is back. Take a comical look at the UK's most shoplifted items in Shoplifting, her new exhibition at Lawrence Alkin Gallery in Soho. Free, just turn up, until 26 November

BIOMEDICAL IMAGING: Head to the new Francis Crick Institute's first ever exhibition and explore the world of biomedical imaging through 12 images. Free, just turn up, 2 November 2016-4 February 2017 (note it's closed on 9 November and 7 December)

The Old Palaces Tour at Somerset House

ARCHIVE THIEF: Historian Zosa Szajkowski illegally snuck Jewish documents from Europe to the United States in the 1940s and 1950s.
