Fancy plunging into an icy Brockwell Lido, in the name of charity? If so, then the Icebreaker challenge is for you.

On Saturday 2 December 2023, brave Londoners are invited to take the chilly dip in one of London's prettiest lidos, to raise money for Crisis, a charity striving to end homelessness across Wales, Scotland and England. This Christmas, Crisis is providing hotel accommodation for 590 people, who'd otherwise be sleeping rough.

Participants can either join the event solo, swimming a width of the pool — or team up with friends to race in a relay. There's a £15 entry fee for each person, plus a fundraising target of £150. Participants can look forward to a steaming hot drink after their icy plunge... and a healthy dose of kudos too.

Crisis Icebreaker Challenger, Brockwell Lido, 2 December 2023, 11am-12.30pm, registration fee of £15.
