Gigs, Pies And More: Day-To-Night Venue BeatBox Arrives In Shoreditch

'EAT. DRINK. PLAY.' shouts the neon outside the newest gig venue in Shoreditch. Beatbox are cramming so many good things into their units on top of BoxPark Shoreditch, we're finding it hard to resist.

By day it's the coffee spot of your dreams, not least because espresso perfectionists Small Batch are at the coffee-brewing helm.

The food menu's just as strong, with some of our favourite pies in London — scratch that, some of our favourite food in London — on the menu, courtesy of Pieminister. Masters of their pie-craft, these guys only use British beef and free-range chicken and pork in their range, and they've recently expanded their range to include vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free options — we've got our eyes on the Kevin Keegan (packed with British chestnut mushrooms, red quinoa and thyme) for our next Beatbox lunch break visit.

So that's Beatbox by day — and to be honest, we're already sold.

But it gets better.

By night, Beatbox turns into an events space, perfect for post-work and pre-clubbing.

The launch party featured SK Vibemaker, Marcus Nasty, Slimzee b2b Cartier and Klose One, with more of the same calibre promised from the events line-up to come. Regular programming like Down In The Ditch on Saturdays repays a weekend drop-in — and our dream night? Their weekly Friday residency Pie & Mash-Up: a holy union of pies and beats. Great name. Even better concept.

So, yeah. EAT. DRINK. PLAY. Beatbox has you covered for all three.

Beatbox, BoxPark Shoreditch, 2-10 Bethnal Green Road, E1 6GY.
