Witness Magic, Make Music, And Let Imaginations Run Wild At Selfridges This Half Term

Inside one of London's best-loved department stores, there's a truly special toyland waiting to be discovered. And, this half term, it's even more magical than usual.

Welcome to the world of FAO Schwarz at Selfridges Oxford Street — the perfect destination for some family fun during the school holidays.

Got a mini maestro on your hands? Relive that iconic scene in Big with the help of FAO Schwarz's Music Maestros, who will help your little ones learn how to play tunes with their feet. The complimentary 15 minute session is perfect for any music lover aged six and over (you can book your slot here.)

Fancy being astounded by some brilliant magic tricks? Abracadabra! Selfridges Oxford Street has conjured up some spellbinding magicians to dazzle little ones with their top-notch tricks. If that inspires them to don a magician's hat themselves, Marvin's Magic has all the conjuring kits and svengali cards you need to wow family and friends back home.

Over in the Discovery Centre, there are madcap experiments galore, courtesy of Selfridges' eccentric in-house scientist, Professor Atlas. Children can get stuck in themselves, before finding their own robot creation kit, mini slime lab, or create-a-shape foam set to take home.

Meanwhile, the Pit Crew can help you create your very own — and completely personalised — racing car, or you can choose the doll of your dreams, give it a name and make it officially yours by filling in its birth certificate.

As well as all that interactive fun, Selfridges Oxford Street has plenty of other half term activities up its sleeves — from face-painting, to a ball pit full of yellow smiley faces, and even a DJ to help you get into that school holiday spirit, plus loads of toys to keep the kids happy all year round. So why not turn that shopping trip into a hands-on adventure the whole family will love?

Selfridges Oxford Street is open 10am-10pm, Monday to Friday, 9.30am-9.30pm on Saturdays, and 11.30am-6pm on Sundays.
