Greenwich Becomes A Giant Advent Calendar

Explore a 3-D community advent calendar in Greenwich.

A stroll around the backstreets of Greenwich is always a pleasure. This December, you can make a proper mission of it by seeking out the festive windows that form its town-wide community advent calendar.

Advent Windows is now in its 16th year and is organised by St Alphege's church.

Unsurprisingly, 24 locations are taking part, including local shops, pubs, private residences, schools and even the Cutty Sark.

You can follow the trail using this handy map. As you can see, most of the windows are to the west of the park, and many are down minor streets away from the tourist trail. It's a good opportunity to explore some of the quieter, charming parts of Greenwich. And, with several of the windows provided by small businesses, you might even get some unexpected Christmas shopping done.

Greenwich Advent Windows 2022 runs 1-24 December with a new window revealed each day. Follow @AdventWindows on Twitter for more details.
