Dachshund Through The Snow: A Pup-Up Dog Cafe Coming To Bermondsey

For one day only, a Bermondsey venue is going Dachshund crazy.

Pet-themed pop-ups aren't exactly the novelty they once were. But a dog-themed event on Saturday 19 November deserves a bit of attention.

Fourpure Brewery invites dachshund owners to bring their beloved pets along for a day of beer and pup treats. Every dog will get a present upon entry, and can enjoy "Tons of Christmas props for photo ops, ball pits, tunnels, toys, and play host to a number of competitions."

Tickets seem to be selling fast — afternoon sessions have already been lapped up. Slots are still available in the morning for dog owners or (as the booking page puts it) "regular humans" who just admire the loveable pups from afar.

The event also serves as something of a mini-convention, with Dachshund-related trade stands in attendance, including vets.

Tickets are £10.50 with a dachshund, or £15.50 without such a companion. It's not entirely clear what would happen if you tried to get in for the cheaper price with a half-breed dachshund.

The event runs this coming Saturday (19th). As a poorly stocked pet shop might say, "Apologies for the short lead".
