The Daily Telegraph describes N Quentin Woolf as ‘a gravelly-voiced writer’, which seems to get to the nub of it.

His cult weekly podcast for Londonist has attracted a large and loyal following, both in the UK and internationally. Guests have included Londoners of all stripes, including philosophers, medics, artists, anarchists and the Lord Mayor.

Alongside hosting Londonist Out Loud, NQW makes occasional appearances on BBC Radio 4 and ABC Australia, talking about literature and design. He has previously hosted a weekly arts radio show, as well as a series about James Joyce’s Ulysses. He is a columnist for several literary magazines.

NQW’s novel The Death Of The Poet is published by Serpent’s Tail.
