Amazon Prime members can now order food from London restaurants and have it delivered free to selected London postcodes.
It follows the launch of Amazon fresh food deliveries in June and will be available via the Prime Now app. This represents Amazon's latest attempt to attract people to its Prime service which it says has "millions" of subscribers.
Once orders are placed, Amazon say they will deliver the food in an hour or less. They promise no hidden markup fees, and free delivery on all order that meet the minimum order value of £15.
A range of restaurants have signed up to the service, from chains such as Pod and Tossed, to Planet Hollywood and even Michelin-starred Indian restaurant Benares.
Delivery is currently available to the following postcodes: E1, E2, E3, E5, E8, E9, N1, N16, EC1, EC2, EC3, EC4, SW1, SW3, W1, SW3, W1, WC1, WC2, SE1, SE11.
