For one day only, the public are being given a chance to go up the BT Tower in Fitzrovia and enjoy the views from above.

Charity Red R — which trains people in disaster-prone areas in lifesaving skills — is opening the doors of the skyline stalwart for 'flights' to the 34th floor, with its impressive views over London and beyond.

We attended the event last year — here's a look at what it's like inside the Tower — and were impressed to learn that the revolving floor is still in action.

Tickets are £50 per person, and for that you get 45 minutes at the top of the tower, plus a glass of bubbly and a sweet treat to enjoy while you're up there — although if you're anything like us, you'll be too distracted by the view.

'Flights' depart from 1pm-10pm on the day, so decide before you book whether you want to see London in her daytime glory, or lit up at night.

Red R's BT Tower Experience takes place on 25 November 2016. Tickets are £50 and need to be booked in advance (and quickly — the event sells out every year). All proceeds go to Red R.
