Cat In The Hat Comes To East London

The Cat in the Hat is coming to east London this summer.

From 23 July, Discover Children's Story Centre in Stratford invites you and the kids to explore a vivid exhibition inspired by Dr Seuss's beautiful illustrations from The Cat in the Hat, The Lorax, Green Eggs and Ham and more.

You can climb onto the Once-ler Wagon, dress up as Thing 1 and Thing 2, play music with the Boom Band and maybe even come across Sam I Am or The Cat In The Hat.

Of course, there'll be plenty of zany storytelling too.

As well as the fab new Dr Seuss show, there's a whole new world to (ahem!) 'discover' at Discover, following a huge refurb.

Discover now offers three new floors of stories and play, including secret tunnels and creatures to find, a steampunk ship, sparkly river, crow's nests, and walkways to the mysterious Observatron. You can also post stories to Hootah (the resident space alien) in the sorting office of stories.

Look out for original artwork on the walls from Axel Scheffler, Anthony Browne, Chris Riddell and Cressida Cowell.

And there's an all-new monster-themed café with a monster-themed menu.

The Fantastic World of Dr Seuss runs from 23 July 2016 to August 2017 at Discover Children’s Story Centre, 383-387 High Street, Stratford, E15 4QZ.
