Get arty with the kids in London this June, as venues across the capital host a range of fun, interactive events as part of Children’s Art Week.
Running from 11 to 19 June, Children's Art Week features printing in Peckham, tweeting in Twickenham, Croydon clock towers, and the chance to get arty in Westminster Abbey.
Chris Riddell, the current Children's Laureate, will be at the National Portrait Gallery on 19 June, exploring his favourite paintings and encouraging children to create some of their own.
The V&A will stage free children's events on both weekends of Children’s Art Week, with an imaginative array of themes including dragons, lions and football; magical mayhem; and cabinets of curiosities.
Children’s Art Week runs from 11 to 19 June. Most activities are free and all details can be found on the Children’s Art Week website.
