Lord Mayor's Show Fireworks Cancelled In Solidarity With Paris
It's less than a year since Tower Bridge turned red, white and blue to mark the last terrorist attacks on Paris. Photo by Paul in the Londonist Flickr pool.

The traditional fireworks display that marks the end of the Lord Mayor's Show won't happen tonight, as a mark of respect for the awful events in Paris on Friday night. Instead, Tower Bridge will be lit red, white and blue.

This probably goes without saying, but you're being asked not to travel in if you were planning to come and watch.

There will be two vigils today (Saturday) in Trafalgar Square: one at 2pm, and another at 9pm which is expected to be larger. The vigils have been run past the police, who will be on hand.
