Enjoy Regent Street Without The Traffic

For four Sundays in July, there's a rare chance to visit Regent Street without the constant stream of black cabs and red buses slowing you down.

The shopping haven goes traffic free for Summer Streets, a free festival taking place across four Sundays. A different theme takes centre stage each week.

On  5 July, the street is transformed into a garden, complete with summer lawns and a bee and butterfly zone. A week later, the British 10k passes through, and the street adopts a health and fitness theme — The Harlequins are running rugby coaching sessions throughout the day, impressive for a street which normally lacks enough space to swing a shopping bag.

A fashion-themed festival takes place on 19 July with brands based on the street showcasing their designs on a pop-up 50m catwalk.

Summer Streets 2015 culminates on 26 July, celebrating Regent Street’s thriving arts and culture scene. Artists will be creating live installations while The University of Westminster will be displaying fashion collections and work from their graduate shows.

Each week, there will be family activities with food, live entertainment and  giveaways and special offers from Regent Street retailers. Keep an eye on the Regent Street website for further information.

Regent Street Summer Streets takes place every Sunday in July. Free, no booking required.
