The Serpentine Pavilions attract hordes of visitors to Kensington Gardens each summer. But what happens to them when the season is over?

In the vast majority of cases these one-off architectural follies, which are sold to finance the cost of construction and operation, disappear into a private collection never to be seen in public again.

However, for those of you who enjoyed visiting last year's translucent doughnut-like pavilion, there is good news: the 2014 creation of Chilean architect Smiljan Radic has reappeared in Somerset.

After being granted permission by the South Somerset District Council the shell-like building has found a home at the Hauser & Wirth gallery, near Bruton.

The building joins the inaugural pavilion designed by Zaha Hadid, which can be found at Flambards Theme Park, also in the west country.

The fate of the other former pavilions can be found here.
