Flip pancakes to raise funds for London's Air Ambulance this coming Shrove Tuesday, 17 February.

Every year the Great Spitalfields Pancake Race, organised by Alternative Arts, raises funds for London’s Air Ambulance. As we found out in December, getting a second helicopter is vital for the Air Ambulance team to get to more patients even quicker. For a few weeks every year, the single aircraft is out of action for maintenance so it's even more important to have another one.

All you need to take part in this year's Great Spitalfields Pancake Race is some honed flipping skills, three friends and a suitable outfit. The winning team receives an engraved frying pan and all entrants get a tasty reward in the form of hot pancakes.

The Great Spitalfields Pancake Race takes place on Pancake Day (17 February) at the Old Truman Brewery, Brick Lane E1 6QL. To enter a team email info@alternativearts.co.uk for an application form and get yourselves sponsored, or bring a donation on the day.
