What kind of pattern do you prefer on your Christmas wrapping paper? Holly and ivy? Father Christmas? Miscellaneous sparkles? This annual choice can seem a bit overly familiar, but a new pop-up in Soho is doing away with those clichéd Christmas designs by corralling local artists into making something a bit more special.

The project, run by glaceau vitaminwater at Shinebright in Soho, has been in place for three days and already a team of artists have been designing, screen printing, illustrating, block printing, stamping and stencilling up a festive storm. Rolls and rolls of individual artworks have been produced and Londoners can not only stop in to see the work in action, they can also bring in a gift to have it wrapped before them in one of these one-off pieces of art.

At the helm of the creative team is the London-based painter and street artist Inkie, and he is joined by a bevvy of artists including Jack Hudson, Chrissie MacDonald, Lynnie Zulu, Lucy Vigrass and the Day Job collective.

There are only two days left to get your hands on some completely unique, creative wrapping paper courtesy of local artists and a whole load of artistic merriment. Open 11am-7pm today and tomorrow, this is your last chance to eschew Rudolph (sorry, Rudy) and make your gift even more special this Christmas.

'The wrapping gallery' is at 15 Bateman Street, Soho, W1D 3AQ until 17 December. It is open daily 11am-7pm and is free to enter.
