On The Roof Of The Cheesegrater

122 Leadenhall Street is an enigmatic building. Its 48 floors politely lean back, so as not to trouble sightlines of St Paul's from the west. Yet at its summit, the views rank among the best in the capital. To the east you can peer right over the top of the Gherkin and out along Whitechapel Road. South brings the tower's lofty playmates, the Walkie-Talkie and Shard. About-face to the north, and the Heron Tower's lifts zip to their zenith...but not quite so fast as the lifts in the Cheesegrater. While to the west, could anything be more magical than a sunset behind St Paul's cathedral?

The building's not open to the public unfortunately, but we got to have a peek at the roof in 2014, before it officially opened. Here's a quick glimpse at what's up there:

The roof also contains this hopeful falcon's nest.

To the south, the combo of Walkie Talkie and Shard looks a little bit like the Kaiser's helmet.
