Watch Films In A Hot Tub On A Train Platform

Originating in New York, Hot Tub Cinema returns to London this summer.

Hot Tub Cinema returns to London this summer, giving Londoners a chance to relax in a jacuzzi-style tub while watching recent films. Screenings lined up so far include comedy Bridesmaids, classic Moulin Rouge and TV spinoff The Inbetweeners. See the full programme here.

Whether you love or loathe the idea of spending a couple of hours in a hot tub with strangers, there's no denying that it's more exciting than a trip to the Odeon. If the bubbles alone aren't appealing enough, maybe the venue will do it — Hot Tub Cinema will be pitching up at the former Shoreditch Underground station off Brick Lane, with the platform transformed into an auditorium. The unique venue provides an open air cinema experience, but there is partial cover for the hot tubs, should the weather turn.

Tickets are £35 per person, or book a private hot tub for up to six people for £210. Ignoring the potential for soggy popcorn, or confused trainspotters stumbling into the tub with you, we think it's quite a bargain, considering the cost of regular cinema-going these days, and the fact that you get to visit a disused tube station, too.

Book here, and keep an eye on Hot Tub Cinema's website for other London venues and dates later in the summer.

UPDATE: Three new London screenings have been added; Top Gun on 19 June, Clueless on 20 June and a surprise film on 21 June. Tickets are selling fast so get in quick.

Tickets, from £35, are now on sale for 4-15 June at the former Shoreditch Underground station. Book here. Further dates and venues will be announced soon.
