Free Guided Walks This Weekend

Screen shot 2014-05-13 at 13.48.49Walk London’s annual ‘Spring into Summer‘ guided walk weekend is here once again. Over the course of the weekend (17-18 May), you can choose among 43 free walks, led by expert guides and supported by Transport for London.

The tours cover many corners of the capital, with walks at various lengths. Highlights include strolls along the Thames, Lea and canal systems, exploration of ancient woodland, and city-based urban walks that focus more on history and folklore. Learn more about your own neighbourhood, or try somewhere further afield.

All you have to do is turn up on the day prepared for an informative ramble. See all walks and starting times here.

London does, of course, have many talented tour guides and guiding companies who put on a show all year round — often aimed at Londoners as well as tourists. If you enjoy this weekend’s free walks, consider booking on to further paid tours and support our often unsung, hugely knowledgeable guiding community.
