SHAKESPEARE TALK: As part of Shakespeare Week, Guildhall Library has a talk about reading Shakespeare's plays when they were first published. £5, prebook, 6pm

WHISKY AND TAILORING: Get a sneaky peek inside the doors of Saville Row and learn about the history of the tailoring craft at Chivas Whisky Open Row. Tickets include two complimentary cocktails, whisky tasting and a cocktail making masterclass. £15, prebook, 6.30pm

VIKINGS LIVE: The British Museum's Viking exhibition is taking part in a special cinema event, Vikings Live, with demonstrations and close-up photography of the artefacts on display. ARTY EVENT: In concomitance with its latest exhibition Pangaea, Saatchi Gallery has an evening of African-inspired music and live dance performance in the charming set of the exhibition. The ticket includes a drink as well. £5, prebook, 7pm  

ICE CREAM: Gatti's Ice house at the Canal Museum plays host to Hunt & Darton Cafe for one night only, celebrating the history of ice cream with interactive performances, games, and of course, ice cream. £15/£8, prebook, 7pm

SOUL MATE: Story Jam's monthly storytelling night for adults focuses on the theme of soul mates. Tonight's storytellers are Sarah Liisa Wilkinson and Alice Fernbank. Takes place at Canvas & Cream in Forest Hill. £7, just turn up, 7pm

ALBUM LAUNCH: Liz Green, past winner of Glastonbury's Emerging Talent Competition, launches her new album O, Devotion!, at Ace Hotel in Shoreditch. £10, prebook, 7.30pm

NORDIC NIGHT: A new Nordic music night continues at The Lexington tonight. With atmospheric Swedish pop, Danish pop and Norwegian electro-folk, we're expecting something like a hyperlocal Eurovision. £7/£5, prebook, 7.30pm

VINTAGE VEHICLES: Park It In The Market, the monthly gathering of pre-1990 vintage cars and bikes takes place at Greenwich Market, with vehicles arriving in convoy from Blackheath Hill. Free, just turn up, 7.30pm

TALENT FINAL: Hamburger Queen, the "talent show for fat people" has reached it's finale, with the final taking place at Bloomsbury Ballroom tonight. £15, prebook, 8pm

GHOST TALK: The London Fortean Society presents the forgotten story of the Poltergeist Prince of London. Go back to the 1950s, and listen to the story of a communicating poltergeist that might have been the Lost Dauphin of France during the Revolution, seriously. The talk takes place at Dirty Dicks pub in Bishopsgate. £3/£2, prebook, 8pm

EVIL COMEDY: This Month’s Apocalypse at Leicester Square Theatre stars comedian Paul Thorne and uses songs and comedy to explore evil. Guest is Jo Caulfield. £6/£8, prebook, 9.30pm

Good Cause of the Day

A group of Londoners are trying to put together a musical documentary about 160 WW2 veterans and they need your help to kickstart it.
