Music Hall isn't dead, it was only slumbering. The Big Muddler, taking place in The English Restaurant, Spitalfields this Sunday offers a roll-call of singers, storytellers, comedians and poets for an evening of traditional fun.
MC for the night Matthew Crampton tells us that: "The show's a modern take on the traditional music hall experience — singalong, innuendo and a variety of music from the serious to the melancholic to the downright filthy — but no Victorian costumes and no whiff of the museum. It's primarily a feel-good night for the audience.
Alongside Matthew, you'll hear from Racker Donnelly (poet and entertainer), Burton Bradstock (folk duo with jewels from the Rather Good English Songbook), The Captain's Biscuits (songbirds Jenny Thompson and Sarah Madden), and 'the divine' Jan North (purveyor of musical filth). Tickets are just £5 and can be booked here.
