Get In The Mood: Oscar Warm-Up Night

On Saturday 1 March JW3 on Finchley Road hosts an Oscars warm-up night. The evening features a variety of themed activities: a panel of film industry experts sharing their experiences of the Academy Awards and their predictions about winners. Dress glamorous and you can pretend you're a Hollywood star by getting papped on their red carpet. Drink posh cocktails, enjoy the Academy Award winning documentary Searching for Sugar Man and get to hold a real statuette.  £15/£7.50, prebook, 7pm

Dress Like A Star, Dance Like A Loon

Club de Fromage, Not The Oscars! is a pop and dress-up party at the Islington Academy on Saturday 1 March. Dress to impress and you get to jump the queue, plus you might win a Golden Alfie for the best outfit. A screening of Forrest Gump - Best Picture winner in 1995 - starts at 7.30pm, before the party kicks off with hits from the best movie soundtracks of all time, even if they didn't win an Oscar. Tickets £8 before 12am, just turn up, 10.30pm

Treat Yourself To Some Oscar-winning Movies

The Prince Charles Cinema in Leicester Square has been running Sunday Night at the Oscars throughout February, a series of Oscar Best Picture film screenings. The final one is on Oscar night, Sunday 2 March. Choose between Schindler's List, winner in 1993 and The Departed, winner in 2006. Tickets £7.50/£5, prebook, 8pm or 8.30pm

Watch The Oscars Live on Screen

On Sunday 2 March don your most sparkling attire, get out of the house and watch the Oscars live on screen at the Roxy, Borough High Street. Mingle with other Oscar fans and sup Hollywood-themed cocktails as the results roll in. There will be prizes for the best dressed individual and for the best dressed couple. Tickets include a free glass of Prosecco. £10+bf, prebook.

The 2014 Oscars are being screened live on Sky Movies on Sunday 2 March. Red Carpet reporting starts from 11.30pm.
