This gig is to celebrate the band’s second album ‘War Room Stories’. Free entry is included when you buy the album, which was recorded in a former communist party building in Berlin. Event Details

Tuesday 4 February

Caged Animals, Sebright Arms, Bethnal Green

This week’s ‘Shameless Favourite’. Caged Animals is the bedroom project of songwriter Vincent Cacchione, a New Jersey-born Italian living in Brooklyn. Event Details

Brokenwitt Rebels, Old Blue Last, Shoreditch

FREE GIG. These guys have recently been touring the country supporting ‘The View’ but tonight they headline. The ‘Savage Nomads’ who we recommended last week are also playing. Event Details

House of Hats, Ronnie Scott’s, Soho

Not ones to rush things, House of Hats formed in 2012 but are only just releasing their debut album, due out in March. They are a very talented bunch and I can’t wait to hear the new material. Event Details

We are Scientists, Barfly, Camden

FREE GIG! If you look past the DIY horror music video, this single is a return to form for ‘We Are Scientists’. The album ‘TV en Français’, featuring this track is out on 3 March. It’s a free gig but you still need to book. Event Details

Crash Island, Queen of Hoxton, Shoreditch

Crash Island’s new EP ‘Strange Shores’ is out now. They play as part of a monthly night at the Queen of Hoxton called ‘Best Kept’, which showcases the best emerging indie acts. Event Details

Fletcher, Slaughtered Lamb, Clerkenwell

‘Fletcher’ is Ben Fletcher. He’s played in loads of bands over the years but this is his first foray as a solo artist. He’s originally from Sydney but has been living in London for the past three years. This track is from his 2012 EP ‘Upon Ayr’. Event Details

Ringlefinch, The Finsbury, Green Lanes

This track is only a demo but it is enough to hint at what this band are capable of. They are a six piece, nicely blending indie and folk. Event Details

Friday 7 February

The Wild Things, Water Rats, Kings Cross

These guys are fast becoming a personal favourite. Band members Syd, Cam and Rob are stunning live. Event Details

Saturday 8 February

The Spitfires & Echo Raptors, Boston Arms, Tufnell Park

This week’s Double Bill.

The Spitfires — a Watford based three-piece. The band released this single back in June.

Echo Raptors — a four-piece from Belfast, this is the first track from their most recent EP ‘She’s So Free’. They have a great 90’s sound to their music.

After the bands play, Martin Blunt from The Charlatans is doing a DJ set. Event Details
