It’s London. Cool stuff is happening all around you. There’s a free concert round the corner, a live street performance down the road, a pop-up cinema under your local railway, but how can you keep up with what’s happening when? New app, Wingit, promises to find it for you.

Wingit's powerful algorithm continuously scans the mass of information being shared on social networks (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter ...) and only pushes forward the stuff that matters to you, according to the time and your location.

Want something to do after dinner with friends*? Wingit finds your location, screens the social networks and lets you know what’s going on near you via an easy to use, streamlined timeline. Looking for a last minute gig to go to? Use the keyword search to see who's playing in your local.

If you’re a shepherd rather than a sheep, you can create your own post and share it with Wingit for other users to find. Spotted a Banksy? Open Wingit, take a picture, write a few words, pin your location and bam! It’s on the timeline.

As a social networking platform, you can create or join a community too. Share events with your friends, send private messages, organise hangouts, check who’s nearby, see what they are about to do, let them know you’re joining, see who else is coming. Go explore.

Check out the video below for an introduction to Wingit.

Wingit is free to download and use from the App Store. Currently it is only available on iOS7 but it will be available on Android later in the year. Wingit are also on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

*Founder Alban Sayag actually came up with the idea of Wingit while being at a loose end with friends after dinner in Brussels.
