Take A History Tour Of Alexandra Palace

allypallyOne of north London’s most glorious buildings opens its doors for historical tours in a few weeks. The vast Alexandra Palace can be explored on Friday 24 January (tickets for Saturday 25 January are already sold out), and we reckon it’s well worth taking an afternoon off work.

The Palace’s 140-year history includes everything from giant banquets to pantomimes to monkey shows, but it’s perhaps most famous as an early home of BBC television. The tours promise access to ‘secret derelict spaces’ and ‘never heard before unique stories’ from the building’s past.

Tours run every half hour between 10am and 4pm and tickets are just £5.50 including booking fee.
