Photographer Will Pearson has produced another stunningly detailed interactive panorama of London. This time he's chosen Trafalgar Square in the early hours as his subject. Click on the screenshot above to explore the photograph.
In Will's image the familiar sights of the square are lit up by a madrigal illumination. What's missing is the thronging crowds, though there are quite a few people scattered about, including a group near one of the lions and a couple kissing beneath the statue of Sir Henry Havelock in the southeastern corner. Are they ending a wonderful evening out amidst the romance of Trafalgar Square, or is this a sad farewell? There are eight million stories in the naked city, and this photograph invites us in to imagine just a few of them.
