More fun and frolics around town courtesy of London Street Games. Five Ghosts takes place on selected Sundays throughout the year, pitching participants into the middle of a giant logic puzzle, writ large across the city’s streets.
Those taking part are guided around the City of London, either on foot or vintage bike.
The mystery revolves around the piecemeal recollections of five celebrated London ghosts [can you name them from the pic?], who have anchored their memories of a century-old crime to various locations across the City. In order to put the whole case together, participants are required to walk three miles, find twenty clues and patch together the evidence to discover who committed the deed and the whereabouts of a long-lost treasure.
We have to confess that we haven’t yet had chance to road-test this one, but given the creators are the same people behind the popular Greater London Treasure Trails mysteries, we can only assume it’ll be done right and well. There are prizes to be won, too.
The next walking tour takes place on 27 January, with further dates throughout the year. Cycle tours, conducted by Tally Ho, will be announced soon. Book tickets here.
