Repre, a collective of up-and-coming artists, have been working on this debut show for a year. The gallery under St Martin in the Fields on Trafalgar Square is a great spot for it — it's just across the road from the National Portrait Gallery and National Gallery, so should draw in plenty of art aficionados.

Each of the nine artists exhibiting has their own unique style. They range from the contemplative yet powerful portraits of Rebecca Molloy, through to the intricately detailed miniature landscapes by Louise Morgan.

Urbanites will be satiated by Patrick Simkins' cityscapes, which comprise so many layers of paint you could almost dive into them, and by Nathaniel Fowles paintings featuring London buses and taxis.

Though there may not be a central theme linking all of the artworks together, the quality of the pieces and the variety of styles will ensure that all visitors will find a developing artist that they'd like to see more of.

Repre is on display in the gallery at St Martin in the Fields until 13 May. Entrance is free.
