Gig Alert: Ghostpoet @ 100 Club

London based hipster-grime MC Ghostpoet plays a free show at the iconic 100 Club on Thursday 15 December.

The Mercury-Prize-nominated rapper headlines the final instalment in a series of free shows hosted by the 100 Club and Converse, with tickets allocated via a ballot.

Ghostpoet, aka Obaro Ejimiwe, relocated to London from Coventry and has received outstanding critical acclaim for his debut album, Peanut Butter Blues and Melancholy Jam, from hip-hop aficionados and the Shoreditch set alike.

It will be the last time to see the album’s leftfield minimalist grime played live this year and his dulcet poetic hooks will whisk you away from the Christmas shopping hullaballoo on Oxford Street outside.

Tickets are free and will be available exclusively via the Converse UK website www.converse.co.uk  or JD Sports.co.uk, from Wednesday 7 December.

Ghostpoet plays 100 Club, 100 Oxford Street,  London W1D 1LL, Thursday 15 December. Doors 7pm.  Free via ballot. Over 18s.
