Lit Preview: Queen's Park Book Festival

Now here's an idea for running a literary festival - pack everything into one day. The Queen's Park Book Festival is pitching two tents in Queen's Park on Saturday 11th June and cramming a bunch of fabulous writers in there.

We said fabulous and we mean fabulous: Sebastian Faulks, Maggie Gee, Philip Hensher, Alex Bellos, Natalie Haynes, Anthony McGowan, a panel of comedy writers (Sam Bain, Robert Popper and Robert Webb), Grace Maxwell and Edwyn Collins and more. Oh, and Mark Gatiss is launching the whole thing on Friday 10th with a screening of The Private Life of Sherlock Holmes at the Lexi Cinema.

Pick up a full programme from Queen's Park Books, where you can also get a wristband for the day's events for the ridiculously small price of £5. If you wait until the day itself it's £6, which won't exactly break the bank. Take a picnic and make a day of it.
