Giant Olympic Rings Unveiled At St Pancras

St Pancras now has a set of giant Olympic rings to go with its giant statue, giant clock and giant taxi rank.

The 20-metre-wide hoops were unveiled by Boris Johnson and Seb Coe last night. This is the first of several sets, which will appear on landmarks in the run-up to the games.

St Pancras offered the third major photo opp for Boris this week, following his ‘unveils’ (as the latest press release has it) on the new Overground section and the Battersea Park Winter Garden. The mayoral ribbon scissors must be getting blunt.

I was going to go to St. Pancras today for some lovely Belgian bread, but I knew this horrible sports thing would upset me. (Sorry, sports fans!)
