Explosives, Drugs Found Near Olympic Site

A woman has been arrested after police found 'an explosive substance and Class A drugs' in her car, which was parked close to the Olympic site on Pudding Mill Lane. The small haul is being forensically examined, but police think there is no link to terrorism. The discovery was made by a 'canine-services team' following a tip-off.

In a slightly bizarre twist, the 40-year-old woman is herself a dog handler. Security firm G4S confirmed that their staff are licenced to retain small samples of explosives for training purposes, but made no comment about drugs possession (presumably also used in training).

Whether the dots are really so easy to join remains a matter of police procedure. In the meantime, we're enjoying the word-choice of the security spokesperson who reveals that, "All dog handlers are fully vetted".
