Street Artist Sweet Toof Defaces The Metro

Anyone spot one of these unorthodox copies of Metro floating about today?

If you’ve spent any time in the Brick Lane area you’ll probably recognise the motif. The dental intervention is the work of street artist Sweet Toof. According to a press release (this is how mainstream the street-art world is getting), he’s plastered his gummy calling card over an ‘undisclosed number’ of Metros, now circulating throughout the capital.

As the stunt is promoting the artist’s new show (from tonight at Arch 402 Gallery, Cremer Street, London E2…we’ll be there and will let you know if it’s any good), there’s the danger that the ‘undisclosed number’ is zero and this is all a wily ruse to get us bloggers and tweeters talking. But let us know if you spotted one.

I got one of these. Found it on the Central Line totally by accident (The pink is day-glo so I couldn’t miss it!) I never knew about Sweet Toof before, so I guess it worked!
I got curious about this so looked on eBay, and yep, one is there already, and no doubt more will follow!
    I think it’s a smart idea.

I found one at Old Street tube last night. I reckon I’ll keep hold of it (for a while at least). I really like it.

I saw one of them on display in a shop in Camden Stables Market. The shop was called The Purple Gherkin or something like that. I think its a graffiti shop. I asked the guy if he would sell it to me and he wouldn’t….who would?
