Canary Wharf Ice Sculpting Festival: In Pictures

Saturday saw the final day of London's annual Ice Sculpting Festival at Canary Wharf.

The event began on Thursday with the singles competition and closed with the international team competition and awards ceremony. Pairs from Africa, France, Hungary, The Netherlands, Portugal and the UK all took part. Each of the contests carried both a universal theme and time limit and due to the mild weather, didn't last long!

The festival, which was free to attend, also encouraged members of the public to get involved, with a sculpting workshop running alongside the main exhibition. The eventual team winners were Portugal, who were presented with their trophy and £500 winning prize from Professor Richard Wentworth, the Head of Sculpture at Royal College of Art.
