If booking big names was enough to save Oxford Street's 100 Club from closure, it would probably be getting a reprieve about now. Paul McCartney (yes, that Paul McCartney) has announced a gig this Friday at the 300 capacity venue.
They're calling it 'Packed lunch at the 100 Club', and while the £60 ticket price might not include sandwiches, it's bound to be hot and sweaty for this early-afternoon event. It's the smallest UK gig the former Beatle has played in years - and quite possibly his tiniest ever in the capital.
Tickets go on sale at 10am on Wednesday. If you're lucky enough to get them, it'll be a lunchtime to remember.
