Harry Redknapp Could Manage GB 2012 Football Team

0911_2012.png His reputation at an all-time high after masterminding Spurs' demolition of the European Champions, Harry Redknapp has had his name toe-poked into the mixer as a potential coach of the 2012 Great Britain team. The garrulous Tottenham gaffer is considered the favourite, alongside current Under-21 boss Stuart Pearce, to manage the side, and for Redknapp it could be a stepping stone to the England job: he is one of the favourites to succeed Fabio Capello, who will depart after Euro 2012. Bad news for Harry, though, is that despite its name, the GB team will be comprised solely of English players, meaning no place for Welsh wunderkind Gareth Bale.
