London Street Art Guide: 3. Eine

By now, Ben Eine probably needs no introduction, even to the most unobservant of Londoners. His giant letters have decorated the shutters of the East End for over half a decade. More recently, he hit world headlines after David Cameron handed a specimen of his work (though not a whole shutter) to President Obama. We decided to regurgitate the old master for the latest in this series because, well, he’s been particular busy of late. We even chanced across him this weekend putting the finishing touches to one of his largest work yet, on Ebor Street, Shoreditch.

As always, we’ve started off a map of his work, in case anyone wants to go on a tour. We’ve left the shutter paintings off because, frankly, there are so damn many of the blighters. Fortunately, ‘TheoGB’ did a good job of plotting their locations a couple of years ago. Many more have sprung up since then, with a whole lowercase alphabet at the southern end of Middlesex Street. Our map instead focuses on his larger-scale works. Note that the map is a starting point and not a definitive collection – please suggest anything we’ve missed in the comments.
