Downing Street: The Browning Version

1406_sarahbrown.png Coming to a used bookshop (if not landfill site) near you soon, it's Sarah 'n Gordon: The Downing Street Years. The recently dethroned Prime Minister's better half has inked a deal with Ebury to pen a tome about her decade at Numbers 10 and 11. Buyers are promised a "unique insight into what women actually want to know about her", alongside anecdotes on "what it's like to shop with Special Branch" and "[how to] cope with a bad hair day when Carla Bruni's in town". Riveting. Unappealing as the book may sound, Sarah shouldn't find it too hard to outsell her husband, whose published output, including the unintentionally ironic Courage: Eight Portraits and the clumsily-titled The Change We Choose, have failed to trouble the bestseller lists.
