Election Results Projected Onto Big Ben

As giant screens go, they don’t come more impressive than this. On May 6, Big Ben will be turned into a giant vote-meter as live election results are projected onto its east face (the BBC claim it’s the southern face, but that seems unlikely given the limited views). The multistorey diagram will show progress of the three major parties, plus a fourth bar lumping together smaller parties and independents. The projected chart will also feature a ‘winning line’ towards the top of Big Ben to represent the outright majority of 326 seats. Rumours that the London Eye will function as an outsized swingometer remain unsubstantiated. Image / Jessicamulley.

Presumably they plan to beam it onto the exterior of the Clock Tower, rather than onto Big Ben itself, otherwise no one will see it.

Ha, presumably you didn’t notice the tag I added to the bottom of the article, as a form of pedant insurance.
