A series celebrating the talent of our friends over in the Londonist Flickr pool. Here, they introduce themselves and share their favourite London shots. Today, meet suburbanslice:

My name is Mat. I was born in north-east London and have lived here all my life. I first became interested in photographing London around the same time that I started to develop an interest in architecture, helped along initially by my trusty cameraphone which is sadly no longer with me. Around the same time I discovered Flickr and have been uploading ever since. I'm fascinated by the range of architectural styles and the constant changes taking place in London. With new buildings going up all the time, there's always something to shoot. I'm aiming to walk the complete Capital Ring this year, and the best thing about this is all the amazing animals you meet along the way.

Photography has become something of an addiction for me in the last few years, and one which I'm trying to control and channel into more creative and productive outlets. I'm starting a BA in Photography at LCC this September.

Take time out to browse our superb archive of Flickr friends 'Behind the Lens'.
