Tweet-O-Meter Compares London Twitter Traffic With Other Cities

tweetometer.jpg Those clever people at UCL’s Centre for Advanced Spatial Analysis (CASA) have created this cute Tweet-O-Meter (click through to see the dials in action). It compares (geolocated) tweets per minute in New York, London, Paris and Munich (those four chosen, frivolously, to match the lyrics of the 1979 song Pop Musik). It’s oddly addictive, watching the dials swing up and down as the international chorus of thought ejaculation ebbs and flows within the four metropoli. For now, it’s simply a pretty visualisation – but the team promises more data – and maps! – soon. Stay tuned to the superb Digital Urban blog and Twitter (@digitalurban) for developments.
