Rail Services Cut As Heavy Snow Predicted

Our barometric soothsayers aren’t taking any chances: “severe” weather conditions are forecast for the next few days, with the Met office issuing a stark warning that up to 40cm of snow could fall in London and the southeast this evening and into the morning. Southeastern Trains have got their excuses in early: they’ve announced a revised timetable for tomorrow, with a “limited number” of services heading into London before 9am. TfL are subtly warning us of the chaos to come — their website currently features a snow-covered Tube roundel as the main image. If you’re still at work and dreading a long slog into the office tomorrow, now’s the time to grab the monitor, go to the gaffer’s office, show him this article, and blag a day “working” from home. If that doesn’t work, all eyes to BBC London Travel in the morning.
