Oubliette Open On Leicester Square

oublietteLS.jpg The formidably artsy and sophisticated 'squatters' the Oubliette today announce their new 'interim base' at 42 Leicester Square. The building has been empty for 20 years since the last tenants - ironically, a wealth management company, moved out. To celebrate a remarkable 6 months which has seen them move from Waterloo to Oxford Street to Mayfair to Leicester Square, they've launched a website and artistic activities commence next week with life drawing classes - email [email protected] if you are interested in participating. Oubliette is all about providing rent free space and a vibrant platform for emerging artists and to create a community around those artists. If you're a resourceful, creative, handy type, perhaps you could help them achieve their goals - recruiting now. Their doors will be open to artists and partners soon.
