In Pictures: Londonist 5th Birthday Party

The problem with really great parties - like the one we threw on Friday night - is that they pass in a whizzy, drink fuelled, chit chat blur, are over too soon and are often tricky to recall. Thankfully, we had Tiki Chris on hand to capture as many faces and cakes as possible. And, holy food processors, there was a lot of cake! Thank you to Bea's of Bloomsbury and Faircake for the beautiful boxes of cupcakes they sent us, Jason Mical of Edelman for the Mars Dark chocolate bars, and thanks to the Roving Chef for the lovely cream filled birthday cake complete with 5 candles.

Thank you as well to the Water Poet for hosting us and finally to everyone who came: contributors, friends, readers, at least one member of the London Assembly and twitterers, especially if you contributed to our London map - more on that tomorrow. Meantime, here's to another 5 years, cheers!

Christ, I didn't even think I drank that much. I am usually such a shy and retiring type. Good party though. Well done team.

Great evening - Nice to meet the faces behind the witty Londonist prose that I've grown to love. Lindsey: although the cupcakes were excellent I liked your home baked cake best, Photographer Chris: excellent pic's (though I do look like an alco!), Sir Chris of Roberts: I'm waiting with baited breath for your mystery bike ride!
